# Zettai Systems website

Static marketing site for **Zettai Systems** — IT services, solutions, and company pages.

## Run locally

Use the rewrite-aware server so clean URLs work (same as production):

```bash
python3 serve.py
```

Then open **http://127.0.0.1:8080/about** — not `file://…/about`.

Optional port: `python3 serve.py 3000`

`file://` cannot apply URL rewrites. Always use `serve.py` for local testing of `/about`, `/services/...`, etc.

## Deploy to cPanel

1. Upload **all** project files to your web root (usually `public_html`), preserving the folder structure (`css/`, `js/`, `assets/`, `services/`, etc.).
2. Ensure `.htaccess` and `404.html` are in the web root (Apache `mod_rewrite` required for clean URLs).
3. Confirm the site loads over HTTPS once your host certificate is active.
4. Production URLs are extensionless (e.g. `/about`, `/services/cloud-integration`). Old `.html` URLs 301-redirect to the clean form.

**Note:** `python -m http.server` does not apply `.htaccess`. For local clean-URL testing, use Apache or another server with rewrite support; opening `/about.html` still works as a static file.

## Google Analytics

GA4 is loaded from `js/analytics.js` on every page. Set `MEASUREMENT_ID` in that file to your `G-` stream ID (Admin → Data streams). Localhost traffic is ignored so preview does not pollute reports.

## Theme toggle

Light/dark preference is stored in `localStorage` under the key **`zs-theme`**.

## Forms / email

Contact and careers forms POST to PHP endpoints (requires PHP on the host, e.g. cPanel):

- `/api/contact.php` → `solutions@zettaisystems.com`
- `/api/careers.php` → `careers@zettaisystems.com` (resume attachment supported)

Local `python3 serve.py` does **not** run PHP. Test mail on the live Apache/cPanel server after deploying the `api/` folder.

Ensure mailboxes `solutions@` and `careers@` exist, and that PHP `mail()` (or hosting SMTP) is enabled.

**Hosting note:** some hosts use a bot cookie (`humans_XXXX`) that returns HTTP 409 on first `/api/*.php` hits. The site JS sets that cookie and retries automatically. If mail still fails, whitelist `/api/` in ModSecurity / Imunify.

## Notes

- Official domain: **`https://zettaisystems.com/`** (canonical, sitemap, and og:url use extensionless paths).
- Clean URLs require Apache rewrite via `.htaccess` after deploy.
